Turn Your Eyes…

Turn your eyes upon Jesus

Look full in His wonderful face

I’m sure we’ve all heard the words to that song. But have we ever thought about what they are saying? I’ve realized that often as I pray I’m thinking more on what I’m saying than on Who I’m actually praying to. I also think about missions, but sometimes I focus more on the people and places than on the One who the point of it all should be for. Or as I sing a song I’m more focused on the music or how I’m singing it than on Who the song should actually be sung to.

The words above recently came to mind and this time their meaning came to mind also. I’ve thought about it before I guess but the words seemed to stand out to me more this time.

Just think about it. Close your eyes and picture it. Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face…..

Isn’t it beautiful?

Break Our Hearts….

Lord, break our hearts for what breaks Yours.
Lord, may we cry over what You cry over.
Lord, may we look and not turn away from what You always see.
Lord, may our hearts beat for what makes Your heart beat.

Here I am, Lord send me.
All of my life I make an offering.
Here I am, Lord send me.
Somehow my story is apart of Your plan.
Here I am.

P.S. I want to wish a happy 8th birthday to my very sweet little sister, Emily! :)
